World Cup 2026

What are your favorite sports to watch and play?

Are you excited for the FIFA World Cup 2026? Well, I am and I have several reasons to be!

World Cup in North America

For one thing, Toronto will be one among the sixteen cities where the matches will be played. Next year the hosts will be Canada, Mexico, and the USA. We will be living all the excitement that a world tournament like this brings. I’m looking ahead to watching a couple of games here. Besides, nothing like sports to unite people, it will be a chance to put politics and differences aside. I am counting on it to do this for our continent and the world.

Brazil’s history in the games

Must be remembered, Brazil is the only country to have participated in all 22 World Cups. I know that its performance has been subpar lately. It will be a huge disappointment if they don’t qualify. Although this may be true, if there’s something that the Brazilian people don’t lack is hope. And we will continue hoping that it will be qualified and at the end will bring the Cup home. It now holds five titles, also more than any other nation. This will be the sixth, and we are all rooting for it.

Canada’s participation

As we all know, Canada doesn’t have the same long history in the World Cup, having participated in only two. But being one of the hosts it is already qualified. As a matter of fact, they are working hard to be competitive among all the other nations. In any case, I feel proud of their participation. I will be rooting all the same for them to get far, and (can we dream?) even bring the trophy home.

The video below gives a good explanation of how the World Cup is going to work. It also highlights the novelties and new formats that it will bring.

Let’s make World Cup 2026 an event to remember! Are you planning to watch any of the games in the stadium? For which country are you rooting for? Leave that in the comments!
