It’s that exciting time of our lives again. Seasons are changing. Holidays are approaching. Families and friends are getting reunited. We certainly deserve that after so much time apart for the last couple of years. It’s an opportunity to evaluate how we are doing so far, make plans, and set goals for the next year. And what better way to improve ourselves than to invest our time in the pleasures of reading? Reading helps us build empathy. We can see the world through the perspectives of innumerable other characters. We can live their lives through our imagination.
As I have done in past years, I will join in the 2023 POPSUGAR Reading Challenge. But I will do things a little different this year. Instead of defining all the books in advance for each of the 50 prompts, I have created this blog. This setup allows me to get suggestions from friends for each prompt. I am including friends I already have and those I will make here. On the main page you will find a button for making your recommendations. I will do my best to accommodate each and every one of them.
Of course I will also be sharing my progress as I finish each prompt. So make sure to drop by often to see what adventure I am reading that week. It could be romance, mystery, fantasy, or drama. Find out if I am enjoying it or if I am about to toss it through the window. I will also be posting about other subjects. I hope they are somehow connected with the story I will have in front of me.
The first suggestion came from my partner, whom I love to the moon and back:

In what prompt of the 2023 POPSUGAR Reading Challenge does it fit? A book with a pet character |
Why do you think I should be reading it?![]() |
It will mean the world to me if you can join and leave your comment. I hope to see you soon!
